Becky D’Amico has worked with her fair share of financial advisors throughout her career, but she’ll proudly tell you the team at Miser Wealth Partners is a cut above the rest. Featuring seasoned and skilled specialists in legal, tax, investments, and real estate all dedicated to the delivery of premium financial services and advice, there’s essentially no stone left unturned in their efforts to secure clients’ futures. Becky is beyond excited to be a part of it all. As the Vice President of Client Administration, she plays an integral role on the marketing side of the business through her knowledge of drip email campaigns, informative monthly/quarterly newsletters, preparing materials for seminars, overseeing customer relationship management (CRM), and much more.
Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and raised in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, Becky now calls Newark, Delaware home. While growing up, basketball was a major part of her life. She played competitively from middle school all the way up through college and loved every minute of it. In fact, when she started college, she didn’t even have a major yet because she just wanted to concentrate on tearing up the court.
When it was time to settle on a major, she chose environmental science because she didn’t want to sit behind a desk every day. After obtaining her degree, she worked in the field for the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. She enjoyed that role for about five years before she set her sights on her most important role of becoming a stay-at-home-mom to three children.
When the pandemic took hold in 2020, public gyms took an especially hard hit. The uncertainty of those times caused Becky to look into yet another career change. She reached out to some friends who ended up connecting her with Emma Merstetter, a marketing powerhouse serving as a valuable strategic partner to business owners. The two hit it off and eventually became the dynamic marketing duo they are today.
Through Emma’s work with well-known financial advisors, she helped Becky become immersed in the wonderful world of that industry. Becky hit the ground running providing materials for seminars, including workbooks and presentation aids, as well as drip email campaigns, email broadcasts, helping set up and manage CRMs, regular newsletters, and much more.
Through those financial coaching events, Becky and Emma would have a chance encounter with Derek Miser, which would ultimately set the stage for an exciting career shift.
“When Emma and I started working together, most of the advisors were just starting out and needed a lot of hand holding,” Becky said. “When Derek came into the program, you could just tell that he was determined and that his work ethic was beyond anybody we had worked with before. Whatever he said he was going to do, he did it. So, when it came time for him to reach out to us, it was a no-brainer to go with Derek and to work with such a fantastic group. They really have the whole package.”
That “package” was assembled by Derek Miser himself. In Becky’s opinion, there’s no one more suited to lead that charge.
“Just knowing his work ethic and the fact that he has such a vast list of things he wants done and they’re so futuristic, that excited me to know that he’s always planning,” she said. “He’s always one step ahead and just has a boatload of ideas.”
At the end of the day, Becky relishes in being a part of a top-notch team of people who truly take pride in providing such a valuable service and who have their clients’ best interest at heart.
“This opportunity doesn’t come along very often,” Becky said. “To know that I can be a part of something so great and to know that we’re going to help people’s dreams come true is such satisfaction for me. To know that we’ve secured someone’s retirement or led them in the right direction is just incredible. It’s a scary thing to trust people with your money or your tax and legal needs. These guys, no doubt, are going to take care of you 100%.”
When she’s not on the clock making marketing magic, Becky spends as much quality time with her three children as she can. She also still enjoys fitness and continues to maintain a couple of clients as a personal trainer to this day.
